Ski Spectacular
I had a great experience at the Hartford Ski Spectacular, which is organized by Disabled Sports USA. Participating this event is very important to me because it is one step closer to my dream of winning the Paralympics. Seeing all of those veterans who lost limbs, who had never skied before, go out and do the most amazing thing, ski. That inspires me to keep going. And, as people say to me "If you can do this, I can do this," I say the same thing to them. When I first saw them and spoke to them about there story, it brought tears to my eyes and touched my heart in the most amazing way. I thought to my self "Why am I complaining when there are people out there with disabilities worse than mine," That just told me that I'm not going to give up and I am going to keep moving foreward to my dream and that's exactly what the Hartford Ski Spectacular does for me. Also, winning a gold medal just encouraged me even more.
